Listings are the foundation of trading on Cibocom. This guide walks you through every field and decision involved in creating a listing, so you can publish a well-structured offer that attracts the right counterparties and generates quality bids.
1

Navigate to your Market

From the main navigation, select Markets and open the market where you want to post. Markets are organized by commodity category — make sure you are in the correct one before proceeding.
2

Click 'New Listing'

On the market page, click the New Listing button in the top-right corner. This opens the listing creation form.
3

Choose a listing type

Select either Buy or Sell:
  • Sell — you have product available and want to receive bids from buyers.
  • Buy — you are looking to source product and want sellers to respond with offers.
Your listing type determines how counterparties interact with it and how it appears in the market feed.
4

Fill in product details

Provide accurate and complete product information:
  • Commodity type — for example, Frozen Seafood, Poultry, Beef, Grains.
  • Species / Cut — for example, Atlantic Salmon Fillets, Chicken Breast IQF, Wheat — Milling Grade.
  • Volume — specify the quantity in kg or MT (metric tonnes) and indicate whether you can accommodate partial lots.
  • Origin country — the country where the product was produced or processed.
  • Packaging — carton weight, master carton configuration, freezing method (IQF, block), or any other relevant packaging specification.
5

Set price and terms

Define the commercial conditions of your listing:
  • Price per kg / MT — enter your target or firm price.
  • Currency — select the invoicing currency (USD, EUR, GBP, and others are supported).
  • Incoterms — choose the applicable trade term: FOB, CIF, CFR, EXW, DAP, or others. This defines where responsibility and cost transfer between buyer and seller.
  • Payment terms — for example, Letter of Credit at sight, 30% deposit / 70% against BL, Net 30.
6

Set the validity period

Choose how long your listing stays active. After this date, the listing expires automatically and no new bids can be placed. Select a validity period that reflects genuine market availability — keeping stale listings open can reduce your credibility with counterparties.
7

Add a description and special requirements

Use the description field to include any detail not captured in the structured fields:
  • Quality grades, certifications (MSC, ASC, Halal, Organic), or audit standards required.
  • Preferred port of loading or discharge.
  • Inspection requirements or tolerance ranges for net weight and glazing.
  • Any other conditions relevant to accepting a bid.
8

Choose visibility

Control who can see your listing:
  • All network — visible to every company in your Cibocom network.
  • Specific connections — visible only to companies you have connected with.
  • Market participants — visible to all members of the selected market, regardless of connection status.
Broader visibility generates more bids; narrower visibility is useful for pre-agreed or relationship-based trades.
9

Publish the listing

Review all fields on the summary screen, then click Publish. Your listing goes live immediately and appears in the market feed for eligible counterparties. You will receive a notification each time a bid is placed.
The more specific your product specification, the better the bids you receive. Include species, cut, freezing method, size grade, glazing percentage, and any certifications up front. Counterparties who bid on a well-defined listing are ready to close — vague listings tend to generate clarification messages rather than actionable bids.
You can edit or close a listing at any time from the listing detail page. Editing a live listing notifies any users who have already placed bids, so they can review the updated terms. Closing a listing immediately removes it from the market feed and cancels any open bids.
