# Manage Your Privacy and Visibility Settings on Cibocom

> Decide who can see your profile, listings, and trading history on Cibocom. You are always in control of your data and your visibility on the platform.

Cibocom is a private, closed platform — your data is never exposed to the public internet or to companies outside the Cibocom network. Within the network, however, you have granular control over exactly what other members can see about you and your company. This page explains each privacy setting, what it controls, and how to configure it so your visibility matches your commercial strategy.

## Profile visibility

Control who within the Cibocom network can find and view your company profile.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Privacy Settings">
    Go to **Settings → Privacy** in the left-hand navigation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your profile visibility">
    Under **Profile Visibility**, choose one of the following options:

    * **All Cibocom Members** — any verified member of the platform can view your company profile and contact details.
    * **Connections Only** — only companies you are connected with can view your full profile. Others see a limited preview with your company name and country only.
    * **Hidden** — your profile is not discoverable in search. Only companies you have directly contacted or traded with can view it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save Privacy Settings** to apply your selection.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  Setting profile visibility to **All Cibocom Members** maximises your discoverability. Buyers and sellers browsing the network can find you, review your commodities and certifications, and send connection requests or bids. Restricting visibility to **Connections Only** is appropriate if you prefer a tightly managed network of known counterparties.
</Info>

## Listing visibility

For each listing you create, you can independently control which audience can see it. The platform-level default is set here in privacy settings, but you can override it per listing at the time of creation.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Set your default listing visibility">
    Under **Listing Visibility**, choose your default setting:

    * **All Network** — all verified Cibocom members can see and bid on your listings.
    * **Connections Only** — only your confirmed connections can view and bid on your listings.
    * **Specific Companies** — only the companies you individually select can view a given listing. Configure this per listing when you create it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Override per listing">
    When creating or editing an individual listing, use the **Visible To** field to override your account default for that specific listing.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Cibocom is a private platform. Regardless of which listing visibility option you choose, your listings are never publicly searchable on the internet. All visibility settings refer to access within the verified Cibocom member network only.
</Note>

<Warning>
  If you set listing visibility to **Connections Only** but have a small connections network, your listings will reach a limited audience. Review your connections regularly and consider expanding your network to reach more counterparties.
</Warning>

## Trading history visibility

Your trading history is a record of the deals you have completed on Cibocom. You can choose whether other members can see your track record.

| Setting | What others can see |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Visible to All Network** | Members can see the number of completed deals, commodity categories, and approximate volumes. Specific prices and counterparty names are always hidden. |
| **Visible to Connections Only** | Only your confirmed connections can view your deal history summary. |
| **Private** | No other member can see your trading history. |

A visible, active trading history builds trust with new counterparties — it signals that you are an experienced, transacting participant rather than a new or inactive account.

## Connection visibility

Choose whether other Cibocom members can see who you are connected with.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find the Connection Visibility setting">
    In **Settings → Privacy**, scroll to the **Connection Visibility** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select your preference">
    Choose **Public to Network**, **Connections Only**, or **Private**.

    * **Public to Network** — any member can see your connections list, which can help new counterparties establish mutual context ("you're connected with Company X, so am I").
    * **Connections Only** — only your existing connections can see who else you are connected with.
    * **Private** — your connections list is not visible to anyone.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Keeping your connection visibility set to **Connections Only** is a reasonable middle ground — it allows warm introductions through mutual connections while protecting your network from being mapped by competitors.
</Tip>

## Data and export

You can download a copy of your personal and company data stored on Cibocom at any time.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Request a data export">
    In **Settings → Privacy**, scroll to **Your Data** and click **Request Data Export**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the request">

  </Step>

  <Step title="Download the file">
    You will receive an email notification (usually within 30 minutes) with a secure download link. The export is provided as a ZIP archive containing structured data in CSV and PDF formats.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  Data exports are available for both personal profiles and company accounts. Company Admins can request a full company export (all users, listings, deals, and shipments) from the **Company** section of settings. The export link expires after 48 hours for security.
